It's monsoon season.

While the rest of the country is setting record heat waves, Saskatchewan has been setting rainfall records. Our summer has been cold, miserable and wet and it's showing no sign of letting up anytime soon.

I'm never going to complain about not getting enough rain storms ever again.

A ladder to clean out the eavestroughs again.

Hail & rain ... again.

Weird stuff.

Question for the rest of you cubies -- What's the strangest reaction to your Cube that you've received? I had a 7 year old pound his chest twice and then salute my cube with a peace sign yesterday. It was baffling & incredibly special all at once.

(And I still have no clue what the hell he was trying to imply.)

In personal news; I've finally created an art room for myself (and stocked it with a lot of paint). I can't wait to have some spare time!

Not quite tetris...

... but my Cube was perfect for bringing home our brand new deep freeze. ;)

My driving top 10;

I've found the best songs to drive to are the ones that;

1. bring out a little of your silly side.

2. get you belting them out, without fearing what the person in the next car is thinking.

3. make it easy to forget you're speeding just a little bit.

My favorite top 10 songs to sing, dance & drive to (in no order);

1. Jack's Mannequin - I'm ready

2. Matt Good - Oh, be Joyful

3. fun. - Be calm

4. The Format - Dog Problems

5. Placebo - Special Needs

6. Gorillaz - Dare

The best part.

It's great being a home owner, but I'd have to say my favorite thing about my new place is the fire pit out back.

Yum.

Welcome home ~

This Wednesday will mark the anniversary of our first week in our new home. The move was stressful, but now that everything's unpacked it was 100% worth it.

Deja Vu.

I always stop at Tim Hortons on my way home if I'm out on a Saturday Night. Somehow this weekend I ended up in line behind another cube! Cubes are still semi-rare here in Saskatoon, so I really got some confused looks from the employees when I pulled up to their window after this red cube did. ;)
