Teacher Cubes

Well, school started this week, and I happily drove my Cube to work on the first day of school and parked it in the staff parking lot. The students at my school, who had helped make some of the videos I posted on my canvas and were some of my most loyal voters, were happy to see the fruits of our labours and are making sure that I follow through with promise of free rides to 7-11. It feels good to have worked hard on something together, and to see such a cool result! I can't thank them enough for their support through the contest!

Old ride.. new ride

I took a couple pics of what used to be my old ride, my first ride. A 1980 honda 50cc mini-motorcycle.. obviously not street legal.. but I had lots of fun when I was six.. Now that I'm quite a few years older, the contrast in vehicles has also drastically matured. I've been getting a lot of funny looks. It's also not a strange occurance for me to walk out of a place, and find that there is a group of people crowded around the car. They must all be really self-concious, trying to get glimpses of themselves in the shiny doors and windows, or on the contrary, and more probable, they are captivated by the cubes unique aura.  Either or, i'm sure they could not be as thankful and gracious for the cube as I, it is serving me well, on my quest to bring hope for this community I call home.

The Cube on Snowboard Canada!

Check it out, the cube has made it to major snowboard industry websites.... There is some sort of crazy lady hanging out the window of it (that's me mid surprise).

The cube has landed in PEI

Getting to sleep is not the easiest after a large triple-triple from Tim Hortons and a brand new car waiting for you the following morning.

I've been working some pretty late nights because of external events conflicting with my work during the day. Last night, after filling myself with coffee and donuts and coding for a few hours, I got home at around midnight. It was nice to finally fall into my bed and sleep...or at least try to.

The last time I had checked the clock it said 1:30am.

La-la land wasn't all that memorable. What was memorable was how I woke up at 6:30am in the morning. I had left my bedroom window closest to my bed open during the night. As luck would have it, a lot of rain came down during the night, and it seemed like half a fjord had been dumped on my face.

Island Life

Hey this is my first entry.  I don't have my cube...yest...but I am eagerly anticipating my inauguration into the hypercube life.  I am working at the Gulf Island Film and Television School teaching classes in film making and Game Design.  I sleep in a tent in the west coast rainforest, and wake up to help teenagers make films all day.  It is fantastic, chaotic and busy. But I have not been able to get my record check or cube!  The one cop working on island is incredibly hard to reach.  Luckily, I finally met with him randomly in the pub on island.  The locals were confused at how happy I was when he took down my info. And now I am getting the forms done tomorrow!  soooooo excited to meet the police!  Hope to get Cube in the next week.  Now, time to prep for classes. good night.

A first post and a thanks to everyone!

First of all, I want to say what a stressful - yet wonderful - three months this has been.
