Bitter-sweet Sunshine

The buds are out and blossoms are busting through in the Northwest these days. Vancouver is especially ready for summer; I have even spotted some wishful thinking sandals sporters! However, for those of us who work and play in the snow it is sad reminder that the fluffy white stuff is on it way out like a old butterfly tattoo fad. Lucky for me though, I caught what may have been the last of the elusive spring powder days at Whistler/Blackcomb last weekend. 3 laps of the pique and 3 laps of pique to creek later, I almost felt ok with saying good-bye... for now.

Peace, powder!

Aw, poor butterfly tattoo sporters.
Even the most avid winter supporters can't deny that a patio spot in the sun or plunge into a cool lake isn't worth saying goodbye to powder for a few months.
Don't be sad, it'll be back before you know it.

Love it!
