Submitted by qk_cube on August 21st, 2009
i define as:
- not on a dealer lot (i've seen lots)
- not on a car carrier (seen one)
- not an autoshare cube
Did I miss anything?
I've seen about 6 uniques in the GTA. No green ones yet.

I had considered buying them but I already have the summer tires on the stock rims so I...28 weeks 2 days ago

I live near a Nissan dealership. There are at least three in my neighborhood (including mine). I have likely seen about a dozen different Cubes throughout the city.
Has anyone seen the white Cubes driving all over Toroto and Hamilton with a Protected logo wrapped on them? They're for the new TV series Crash & Burn, on Showcase. Check it out at www.crash-and-burn.com
I think I have the 1st Cube in the Toronto Beaches area (it's red!), but I have seen a blue one on the Danforth.
I saw a Green and a Sliver both in YMCA, Markham
We have a red cube in London. Haven't seen many on the road here....while driving through Quebec in the summer, we did see 3 on the highway, in one day!!
I think someone that works at IKEA in Burlington has a white cube, I see it there on every visit!
The Cube's are rare. I have a white 2010 special ordered I got Dec/09. I've only seen one other white one and one espresso one in the Lower Mainland (Like the GTA of Vancouver). I also haven't seen a single advert in newsprint, TV or radio for these cars. It makes me wonder is Nissan going to carry stock of the 2010's? It is weird, especially when Nissan Canada still has the 2009 Cube on their website - the only 2009 listed in their entire fleet of vehicles....

We love our Silver Cube "NICECUBE"
.
We have driven it all around the GTA and into the Kawarthas.
We have spotted a number of Cubes.
1 silver in Newmarket
1 black in Whitby
1 charcoal grey in Whitby
1 red in Oshawa
1 blue in Oshawa
We have put 4 snow tires on it and it handles fine in the snow.
My wife finds it a bit difficult in really gusty weather, although I
haven't had much trouble that way.
We get a kick from the kids waving at us on the highway. We've had many
people walk around it and have conversations over it.
We get nice comments at drive thru windows.
We've taken people for drives and shown them the features.
When we stop in a parking lot, women seem to love it and come up and tell us.
The men tilt there heads ,scratch their heads and then shake their heads in disapproval or confusion.
It's all fun to watch.
We have had so much fun already with our Cube.
I don't think you could get as much attention and interest driving a Lexus, Porsche or BMW.
Has anyone planned a spring or summer get together for Cubies?
It would be fun for a bunch of us show up at some event and create a scene.
Cheers,
Dave "NICECUBE"
My wife and I just Bought two CUBE KROM editions both are dark blue (so dark they only look blue in bright sunlight. We get looks, comments good and bad, and we get waves and honks from other cube drivers when we cross paths. My wife has even had people take pics and stop her when she is getting out or in. A great car to get noticed in, Especially in a GM manufacturing town. I really like my cube!!! I would be interested in a cube gathering or arranging a group of cubes to go park at the local car shows we have here every summer.
Hey Rob,
Love the Krom! And love that you're into the cube and thanks for coming to say hi.
It's awesome that you're into hosting something. Perhaps a road trip to your end of town would be a wicked way to celebrate a cube kind of summertime.
In the meantime, don't be a stranger. Feel free to tell us what you and your wife and your cubes are getting up to.
And have fun!
Jon
It would be great to have a cube get together in oshawa this summer. I will check around and see if there is any place suitable when the weather gets warmer. How about a poker run(or a dice run in to carry the cube theme)for starters? Or a barbecue at the lake? My wife had a minor skirmish at the end of our driveway not a lot of damage just an inconvenience.I cant figure out how to post pictures on here yet but when I do I have lots. Thanks for the reply, talk to you soon.
Rob
wow, two cube Krom's ...that's a sweet driveway!
Love to get together as the weather gets better also.
Thanks. The Cubes certainly make the driveway look better My wife bought hers about four months ago. Just before xmas she told me to go get my sticker for my plate. I opened the form and found out it was emission test time.I priced out everything I needed for my Grand Caravan and said "OUCH". I went to the dealer and spoke to our salesman and he had the identical one as a demo. So, now we have two! Now all I have to do is figure out how to upload pictures to the gallery and we are off to the races. Thanks for the reply, and maybe see you on the road.
ROB
My husband and I get all kinds of strangers asking to look in our car and asking about the car everywhenre we go...kinda strange! We have only ever seen about 4 other Cubes around our town. Awkward looks all the time, especially from Men 50+ lol...
Ah well it's all good fun! We LOVE our Cube!
We have the only one in our small city. It is very fun to see peoples reaction to the car. It always makes people smile or laugh whether they like it or hate it we always get a smile. And yes, people always stop us to look inside....the only downfall of having the only Cube in town is that if you accidentally cut someone off they will remember/know who it was:(
Sometimes I forget I am in it and wonder why people are staring at me...could it be my good looks???O No!!!! It's the car LOL
starting to see them pretty regularily in Toronto...maybe every other day.
Makes sense, there are a couple thousand on the Canadian roads now.
Espresso bean is definitely a nice colour...adds a nice refined touch
to cube.
-Matt.
I've actually seen tons around the GTA.
Most popular colours I've seen are Red and White, but have seen a handful of black, charcoal and one brown. I too have yet to see a green one - at least not in person. And I have yet to see a silver one in the wild (I've seen it on a lot).
Green P parking is where it's at for Cube spotting. At least the places in the city where I park.
Somebody in Bowmanville owns a green one (seen it more than once, bought at my dealer).
I can still count on my hands how many I've seen other than my own (Red) or dealer lots.
1 Red
1 Silver
1 White
1 Green (at least twice)
1 Black (we waved).
I live in Bowmanville & have a Cube. It's brown though. I have also not seen a green one, although it is the colour I wanted. The dealer did not order any since he thought nobody would want it... :-(
I do love the 'Espesso Bean' colour. :-)
I've only seen 2 other Cubes - a black one by the Scarborough Town Center and a White one exiting at Whites Road in Pickering.
I have a green one , and love the color, it draws alot of looks in town. I was wondering what kind of mileage you get with your cube?
We have a silver Cube in Whitby.
Owned it since October.
It's vanity plate is "NICECUBE"
Dave
Haha.. I love the vanity plate idea! I did get the shag carpet, and the lights for the floorboards.. :-)
