#EastCoastCube Road Trip : Making a break for it. Or trying to

Last fall, I made my first trip out to the east coast to attend a conference on Prince Edward Island. I knew, even then, that I wanted to return to the gentle island again, in warmer weather. But who knew it would be so soon.

Visiting fellow cubist, Mark Stevenson on Prince Edward Island made for the perfect excuse to do another east coast roadtrip. So earlier this week, I made the choice to go and decided to invite Jasin Dollin along for the ride.

We hit the road at 6 am on Thursday morning. After initial stops for breakfast and coffees we made our way eastbound along the 401 towards PEI. But of course, Ontario wouldn't let us go so quickly. We made our first "official" stop at the Big Apple, to shoot the panorama above.

The second panorama of this post was taken at the Belleville Nissan dealership which recently opened this past spring. We discovered that we accidentally blew the fuse on the electrical socket in the Cube and luckily, we spotted this dealership, just off the highway. In any other situation, I would have likely waited to get the fuse replaced, but with me relying on the socket to charge things, mainly my iPhone, it was imperative that we got the fuse replaced.

Luckily, the staff at the dealership were super friendly and very helpful. They got us in and out of there in record time, so we could hit the road and carry on with our trip.

(The first in a series of post from our #EastCoastCube roadtrip.)
