A first post and a thanks to everyone!

First of all, I want to say what a stressful - yet wonderful - three months this has been. Not only have I met some of the most creative and talented people in the nation, but I also (almost) have a brand new cube to show for it.

From the get go, this was a contest in its purist form. As it evolved and changed it became much more than that. We started a community of music performers, writers, artists, and digital renegades. Most importantly, we have all formed a tight group of friends that we will all cherish for a very, very long time.

Sure, we all have something in common that brings us together - a car with all its quirks and oddities that highlights our own individual differences - there is also something else that creates our bond. That being a journey that we all took, both as individuals and together, that nobody will ever be able to take away from us, even when the cars are long, long gone.

So, to all of you, congratulations on taking a successful and intrepid path to winning your Nissan cube!

I want to thank everyone who I have been in contact throughout the contest:

- Angie, for working - blood, sweat, and tears - throughout the duration of our voyage,
- Telma, who gave me inspiration from the get go and the motivation to stay with it,
- Jasin and Rannie, for being the kindest friends a stranger could ever come upon and helping me whenever I needed it while I was in Ontario for the week of the party,
- Julie Kroll, for being the first person to break the ice with me at the party and helping me do the same with others,
- Jade, by being the most determined person even in the eve of uncertainty.
- Laura Aqui/Kristopher Ryken and Greg Sczebel, for sharing your music with me and making my days that much better,
- Sean Williams, for making me laugh so hard that when I think of his performance it still gives me a chuckle,
- Catherine Green and everyone else at Nissan, for embracing a very cool - if a bit unproven -idea, the by-product of which brought us all together,
- Everyone else at Capital C for running a great campaign and talking Nissan into doing such a crazy idea,
- Last but not least, my friends, family, their friends, Tom Clarke and the employees of Clarke Nissan in Charlottetown, Paul Alan at Magic 93 FM in Charlottetown, and so on, who helped me throughout this contest in order for me to be able to share this win with you all.

You are all amazing people and I hope to see you lots in the future. Just don't forget us little folks out on the east coast!
