Hey everyone, I'm Kyle. I have worked for Morrey Nissan in Coquitlam, BC for over a year now, and just bought a 2010 Cube a month ago. I love her to pieces! I just have a question; what is the meaning behind the HyperCube thing? I know it was some kind of contest, but no one at my dealership seems to know what it means...
Hey Kyle,
I'm Jon. I do my best to run this community we have going here. Nice to have you around!
HyperCube was the name of the campaign we ran in '09 giving away 50 Nissan cubes® to deserving Canadians. Thousands of artistic individuals were invited to participate by filling out a survey and 500 of them were asked to create an online canvas displaying their skills in whatever way they wanted to show them off (pics, vids, music, etc). They all got people to vote for them and we also had some great judges who helped us pick 50 winners who received a brand new cube®. A lot of these people are still around the community and you'll see them post what they're up to from time to time.
Hope you enjoy and please do be in touch!
AH! It all makes sense now, thank you so much ha ha ha.
Hullo!
I'm Ra and I just got my cube yesterday, after a great deal of delays. I've had it for less than 24 hours and I'm already completely in love with it. It's so cute, and really easy to drive! If I'm not driving it, I'm staring out the window at it. Can't wait to show it to everyone!

I fell in love with the Cube when I first saw it on Hereos, I don't think I have ever ran to my PC so fast to research what it was that I just saw on television!! You can imagine my disappointment when I discovered that they weren't available in Canada yet. :-(. I counted down the days until June when it would become available and we went in and purchased on then, and I have LOVED it ever since!!! My husband thought I was nuts, but agreed that it was a car made for me, I have never owned my own vehicle before, I guess I was waiting for THE car and the Cube was it. My husband has drived it a few times and thinks it's hillarious how people literally stop and stare (still do), what he likes the most is the turning radius (whatever that is) what I like is the look, I really don't care about anything else! :-)II call my Cube ERNIE, other call him CUBERT or CUBESTER but it's ERNIE, and I baby him horribly!! It's fully loaded and Espresso Bean, I took the one right from the dealerships showroom!! My remotes batteries just dies the other day, and it does work like they say it does, you just hold it over and push in and it will go on. I have had no trouble with my Cube at all. I have the Shag, and next will be getting the bungies and the ripple hooks in Lime green. Here in Winnipeg car enthiusists meet every Sunday during the summer months and I am thinking that maybe I would start one for Cubes, is there anyone here from Winnipeg that would be interested?
Anyway here's to all you other awesome Cube owners, we are, as my husband says, one of a kind!!!!
Hey Cubists,
Got a Snail Mail flyer and decided to check this out. I bought my CUBE in July because I took three young tweenage boys shopping for a desparately needed new mode of transport. While I looked over the economical Versa, THEY sat in the brown cube in the showroon, getting out once in a while to trade places. I think they travelled right round the world that day, maybe for an entire hour!
We asked if we could please have THAT EXACT CUBE, not one LIKE it, but THAT ONE. We could, we did, and two days later and ever since we have LOVED our CHOCOLATE cube. Her name is officially CHOCOLATE and well she is just so....mmm...deliciously fun. We think so every day.
We felt famous for a month or two, as EVERYONE STARED!!!! That was fun too.
Now we forget that we are a little different, and then think suddenly that we are being followed when people stare, or have left something hanging out the door...until someone suddenly remembers...o YA! we are DRIVING A CUBE!
Good times, good times:)
Chocolate :)
Hey I bought my Cube in July too and mine is Cyan as I called it. I was a real proud owner myself as I had the only colour for a good 3 months till someone else own one and when we see each other on the road we just waved to each other and it is so cool. The fully loaded version is so good and the sound system is incredible. I fell in love with it when they launched it on July 1st here in Nova Scotia and after owning it now I absolutely loved it. Hopefully someone will organised a Cube convoy and that would be so cool to visit places with our Cube members. I believed we ( The Cube Owners) own our baby with pride.
Thanks for your reply! Yes I agree we have a certain pride. I love the idea of a Cube convoy...lol...perhaps accross Canada? From East to West? I'm in Ontario, and sure would love to be gathered up to head on a summer adventure by a bunch of Cubes. Anyone else?
Peace,
Chocolate :)
There have been a couple of Cube gatherings in the past. The most recent one was in montreal (a few random pics from there). I heard from a little birdie that there are more events coming up in the next couple of months. So, if you'd like to meet other Cubists this site is the best place to find out about those sorts of things. andre
Hey Phlash. I'm Catherine & I also luv my Cube. :-)
I'm andre and I also luv my Cube :)
(Though I think everyone in the world already knows that. I may just be going comment happy on the site right now).

I'm Shelley and I purchased my Cube in September 2009. I did love it but had nothing but problems since I got it. It started with check engine and low tire pressure, then the heater didn't work when it was on defrost and floor - motor that controls the valve for the split is faulty, then my remote died and could not I could not get the cube to start, took the dealership a week to get back to me on how to start with a dead remote, and today I woke up with my passanger mirror cracked. Today I get my flyer to signup for a chance to win and ipod, I think they owe me an ipod for my trips to the garage. :) Hopefully, after they fix the heater and mirror on Friday that I won't be making weekly trips to the garage.
Oh, if your battery dies, you have to push in the start with the silver part to your remote. I haven't tried it but the dealership tells me that it works.
Good luck everyone with your cube, hope your having better luck then me.
Gosh, sorry to hear that... that sucks Shelly. At least its all under warranty.
Good luck with the contest! And here's to hoping things get better for your Cube.

Shelley,
I also bought my Cube in September. I'm sorry to hear that you have had so many problems. :-( The battery in my key fob died the first month, but I pulled out the owners manual which had directions on how to start the car when this happens. I also had to look up how to put in the new battery.
Luckily the only light that I have had come on is the washer fluid.. of course it was dark out & it took me a bit to open the hood (used the manual again). I felt like such a girl. *~*
I did have a problem one day when my gas tank froze shut. I had to use my key to break the ice to open it. At least there was a nice spaced gap to do this.
I am taking it in for it's first service this week...
Good luck on winning the ipod. I hope you win & decide to love your car again. It's a very lovable car... even my friends who can't stop laughing at it like it.
