HELLLLLLOOOO!

Man, just like that... where did summer go?! It's been a while since i've posted... BUT i have been a very busy girl!!! Let's try and get all the updates in the right order now... lol

first things first... since winning, i've wanted to do something to help people. Something good happened to me, so i want to "pay it forward". Long story short (all the deets are in my new blog) I've commited to knitting as many things as possible for a whole year, then selling everything and donating the money to Cancer Reasearch. A few weeks ago, my friend Voula came back from Greece with the COOLEST gift for me that i have EVER seen. I'm a big fan of trinkets that "ward off the evil eye". I'm portuguese, and since i was a kid, i've always had a charm of sorts on a necklace or a bracelet to bring me luck or to ward off nasty thoughts from others. Yes i know, i'm a nerd. lol Anyhoo, in Greece they have this wicked robins egg blue eye that in Greek culture is the "charm" for warding off the evil eye. When i got the Cube, i knew i had to have one for the Cube cause they match perfectly! Well, Voula hunted all over, and she found me one that was in a cube!!!! Check it out:

Last week, the hubby and i took the week off. It was our 1 year wedding anniversary :) We got to stay in the hotel we got married at for free so what does one do? well, grab some dinner, and watch Star Trek on the Hotel TV! lol It was awesome... here's a pic from the balcony in our room:

That was so fun...

This weekend i'm taking the Cube to niagara falls. Gonna so a few wine tours on the way up (observing only!! i'm the DD) I'll be sure to take some more pics :)
