Olympics (of course)

I have been way more into the 2010 Winter Olympics than I suspected. I'm not a huge sports guy- though I seem to becoming one. Of course tonight's hockey game was amazing, I mean it was just such an intense nail biter. I really didn't care who won (blastphemy I know) but it was fun. Everyone keeps saying it, but it was definitely just a great game for the sport.

I found myself really into the skiing and snowboarding events, (not cross country though, that is just not very exciting.) I actually want to attempt to ski. I tried once when I was 15 but I hurt my hand and haven't tried since. Maybe before the season's over I will venture to the ski hill. I know the time is running out.

I really liked Tina Maze the Slovenian skier who picked up 2 silvers. i'm half Slovenian, and I always love the underdog, so her wins were cool.

I'm glad Canada did so well in these Olympics, I kinda felt like we needed it. Totally erased the no golds on home soil. And the US too, they won the most medals in the winter olympics for the 1st time.

I have connections to both countries, and am of Slovenian and Italian decent, so I don't have any tried and true preferences, as long as one of my connections does well...

Now its time for the closing ceremonies, let us hope there is no goofy slam poetry this time. I am worried though, Nickleback and Avril?! let's hope Neil Young does it right...
