Winter Maintenance

I thought I'd open the forum with some winter maintenance suggestions:

1) Check your tire pressure. For every 10C change in tempurature the tire pressure will change by about 2psi. The Cube has tire pressure monitoring and will show a dash warning light if it becomes too low but that's when its too late. You should check your tire pressure regularly so you can get the best mileage. Get a good digital gauge or a mechanical one that has a dial and gives you the reading after you take it off of the valve stem.

2) Check your washer fluid level regularly. Don't rely on the dash warning light to remind you.

3) When you have a mild day wash your car so you can to remove salt and road grim. Car wash waxing is good to do. It will help keep the car clean longer. Make sure you have the underside and wells sprayed with water to wash the salt and grim off.

4) Once the car is clean walk around and make a note of any chips and scraps. In the spring get a touch up stick and touch up the marks to prevent rust.

5) Remove the floor mats and shake out the dirt. Bring them in and let them dry if you have place in the house.

5) Go through the interior with a damp cloth and remove boot marks, etc.

If you have any more wisdom please share.

Until next time.
