Hollerado

Its always nice when you wildcard a music show and come out stoked. A friend of mine invited me to see The Reason open for Hollerado at the Media Club in Vancover. The show was awesome, but Hollerado stole it for sure. Thier on stage presence was insane, the drummer KILLS it. If you have the chance to see them, DO IT!

Missing Winter: South America Snow Sessions

This is the first summer in 5 that I am not working for my dear ol' friend SASS (South America Snow Sessions), and to tell you the truth, I miss it badly and am dying to get down there for some face shots. This is the ultimate summer snowboarding experience and I am counting the days until I get mine.... 2 and a half weeks to go. This SASS podcast that was just released is the reason I am having trouble coping with the dry hot summer today!

Check it out SASS podcast numero uno and many more to come...

BP Investment a Moral Delima? Really?

If you can call it a delima at all, shame on you! Recently, I have have been hearing from different groups that investing in British Petroleum stocks would be a really smart financial move...you know buy low, sell high. Honestly, I find this really sad as it says a lot about how much people care about our environment. To think that it is ok to give money to and support a company that is pouring oil into our beautiful oceans makes me cringe. Yes, you could stand to make a buck, but is that something you really want to support. As far as I am concerned, its blood on your hands and not something honorable to get behind.

Just Sayin'....

Sasquatch 2010

It was my first music festival this past weekend at the Gorge Ampitheater and I was completely blown away. Amazing music, amazing people and a really huge party. The weather agreed and the backdrop was unbeatable. The line-up included bangers like Public Enemy, Ween, Vampire Weekend, Passion Pit, and MGMT, but the best shows for me were by far Band of Horses, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, She and Him, and Z-Trip. This might be the first of many for me....

Sled Camping: The last hoorah

When I got the phone call about going sledding in May, I was on the fence! Beautiful and sunny Vancouver can be a hard place to leave for the snow after a long winter. However, I thought it would be fun to get out into the backcountry one last time and get some km's on the ol' sled. It was surprisingly something I would do again and a wicked time of year to go camp in the wilderness. We went from Squamish, out the Ring Volcano, and out at Pemberton. 40L of gas each, one tent, bottle of jack, and a whole lot of weiners, we made it back without hitch. Here are some photos:
